When can I schedule my photo session? I schedule at most two photo sessions per week on non-consecutive days, on a first-come, first-served basis. Book your session early to insure that you get your images by the time you need them!
Do you travel? I am happy to travel for sessions, the client is responsible for all travel expenses.
Can I bring someone with me for my photo session? All senior clients are encouraged to have a parent or guardian attend their session. Models are welcome to bring a chaperone for sessions. I ask that in either case you bring no more than one person to your session with you.
How long does it take to get my pictures? The digital files are made available to you the day after your photo session.
Do I get all the photos from my session? You receive copies of all usable photos from your session (properly exposed, in focus, etc.)
Do you edit and/or retouch the photos from my session? I will select the strongest images from your session and fully edit and retouch those images, including color/contrast enhancement, black-and-white conversion, retouching (blemish removal and skin softening), etc.
What if a photo I really like is not one of the photos chosen by Brent for editing/retouching?
I am happy to edit and retouch any additional photo(s) from your session as outlined on the pricing page.
What format and size are the images I receive in? All images are delivered as “level 10” JPEG files. You receive two copies of each image, one full-sized image processed for printing and a smaller, re-sized copy optimized for posting on social media, e-mail, digital photo frames, etc.
What am I allowed to do with the digital files I receive? With your images you will receive a photo release document that allows for any non-commercial use of the digital files. This including printing, posting online (Facebook, Instagram), holiday or other greeting cards, model portfolios, etc. You may also edit or re-edit any of the images to suit your personal taste (ex. – black and white, Instagram filters, cropping). Any commercial use of any image(s) must be negotiated and licensed separately.
So I get a copyright release for my photos?
No, I retain the copyright to all images.
I really like your photos, will you photograph my wedding/maternity/children/Christmas card/etc.? I’m sorry, but no. I am happy to refer you to other photographers in the area that do this type of work.
Are the photos on your site real or are they Photoshopped? All photos on my site are real. Yes, I really did a photo shoot in front of a burning house. Yes, I really took underwater portraits. Yes, I really traveled to Florida/Chicago/Las Vegas/Kansas City/New Orleans/etc. for sessions. Subjects and backgrounds in all photos are 100% real.
